Methodology:
Criteria for the Barron’s 2019 Top Independent Advisors was based on filtered nominations from investment, insurance banking and other related firms which were narrowed down based on many factors including volume of assets overseen by the advisors and their teams, revenues generated for the firms, and the quality of the advisors’ practices. Portfolio performance is not a criterion because most advisors do not have audited track records.
