In 2018, Salomon & Ludwin decided to become a Registered Investment Advisor (Independent Wealth Advisor) for many reasons. Being able to be nimble in implementing technology, customizing client services, having the mind-set that evolution is a good thing, and a team culture that embraces new challenges and opportunities are a few. Methodology: Criteria for the Barron’s 2020 Top Independent Advisors was based on filtered nominations from investment, insurance banking and other related firms which were narrowed down based on many factors including volume of assets overseen by the advisors and their teams, revenues generated for the firms, and the quality of the advisors’ practices. Portfolio performance is not a criterion because most advisors do not have audited track records.
A ranking of “N” indicates the advisor was not ranked in the specified year. HNW=high net worth; UHNW=ultrahigh net worth.
